RED STAR MODEL MANAGEMENT is seeking a Model Booker in New York City. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal and communication skills fit for successfully managing the career of models. You must have a fundamental understanding of the fashion world, with knowledge of key brands, magazines, photographers, and stylists. You should be a self-motivated individual who can be a personable, likable, and proactive team-player. This is a fun and creative environment with room for growth. Problem-solver and multi-tasker are all roles you should be ready to take on, while maintaining a positive attitude. You must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor with model and clients at all times. Understanding foreign markets/placements is a plus. This is a commission based position and you will join the RED STAR team as a freelance contract based agent. This is an independent contractor position 1099. Communication daily with models, and agency staff. Assist senior bookers with various tasks, including scheduling appointments, setting up model go-sees, test shoots, and coordinating schedules. Cultivate new and existing client relationships and always be on the hunt for the newest photographers and stylists. Help nurture and develop new talent, while scout new faces.
Bachelors degree in relative field or a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an exceptional phone etiquette. Must be punctual and organized. Windows & MAC operating systems, client and schedule management programs a plus, but not required.
